This source says that the exquisite Terracotta army of the first Qin Dynasty ruler Zheng, who renamed himself Qin Shihuangdi, the first emperor of Qin,  had the terracotta army built as a representation of his ability to control the resources of the newly unified China, and his attempt to recreate and maintain that empire in the afterlife. 

5. I believe my source because the information in the article has the same accurate information from my first source and the author's sources for the article are all from Chinese people who would obviously know about historical things in China like the Terracotta Army.
